Leadership Conference in Las Vegas

Join Career Up Now community members from across the United States and Israel as we plan the future for local and national Career Up Now communities!

January 27-30, 2021

Meet community and industry leaders from across the country!

What is Las Vegas without some fun!?!

Participation is a $500 refundable deposit, which will include $300 airfare reimbursement, lodging (in a Las Vegas mansion just a few miles from the strip) meals, transportation, an evening of entertainment, and more.

Network, form great relationships, be inspired, and make new friends and plan on how to make a difference in your local community. 

Space is limited. So register ASAP!

Deadline is the 21st of January, 2022.

ITINERARY

DAY 1: Arrive Thursday, Arrive January 27th at night. 

 

DAY 2: Friday, 9AM to 3PM is breakfast, group activities, planning, and lunch.

Friday 5:30PM: Shabbat dinner. 

Friday night, free time or games in the mansion.

 

DAY 3: Saturday 11AM to 3PM: Brunch, planning activities

Saturday 5PM onwards: Havdalah, dinner, and immersive experience at Area15.

Saturday night-- free time.

 

DAY 4: Sunday-- breakfast and departure (shuttle to airport).

David Brog

Director

Maccabee Task Force

David Brog is the executive director of the Maccabee Task Force, an effort launched in 2015 to combat the anti-Israel BDS movement.

 

He previously sat on the Board of Directors of Christians United for Israel (CUFI), were he served as executive director for its first ten years.

 

Before CUFI, Brog worked in the United States Senate for seven years, rising to be chief of staff to Senator Arlen Specter and staff director of the Senate Judiciary Committee.

 

He has also worked as an executive at America Online and practiced corporate law in Tel Aviv, Israel and Philadelphia, PA.

Dana's recruiting experience covers a wide range of industries such as accounting and finance, construction, engineering, light industrial and warehousing, sales and marketing, with a specialty in legal recruiting.

 

Her human resources consulting background includes, training, payroll, sponsorship, HRIS, networking, social media and branding.

Dana is a graduate of the private women's college, Agnes Scott, located in Decatur, Georgia.

 

She returns to campus multiple times a year to support their Summit program by volunteering for HR panels, LinkedIn seminars, interview preparation and other human resources related needs.

Outside of work, Dana enjoys spending time outdoors at sporting and live music events with her loving husband Dustin, their son Deagan and dogs, Gustav, Toni Bark and Donnie Barko.

Chief Innovation Officer

Georgia State University

As Georgia State University’s first Chief Innovation Officer, Phil Ventimiglia is helping shape Georgia State University’s exploration of new ideas for teaching, learning and research through innovative uses of technology.

Phil has over two decades of experience in new technology development and strategy, working internationally and across industries, to foster the growth of new technologies, encourage entrepreneurship and help grow educational opportunity.

Phil currently chairs the statewide University System of Georgia CIO Advisory Council and serves on the advisory board for the Educause Learning Initiative (ELI).

 

He was recognized with a Georgia CIO of the Year award in 2020. Before joining Georgia State University, Phil was Vice President for Innovation and New Product Development at NCR Corporation, where he led a global team that acted as an innovation catalyst and development accelerator.

 

Phil also held the position of Vice President & General Manager for the NCR Hyderabad Development Center in India where he was responsible for leading the creation of an independent, emerging-market development center with end-to-end, in-market product development capabilities, including engineering and product management.

 

Also, while in Hyderabad, Phil helped facilitate the introduction of a new international school to improve educational options in the area.

Tanya Freeman serves as the Career Up Now community manager and coach.

 

She has extensive experience in organizational management, administration, and financial operations.

 

She has spent the past five years as a collaborative and strategic consultant with expertise in team dynamics, team building, facilitation, organizational culture, project management, mediation, and conflict resolution.

Aharon is a serial social entrepreneur and a well-established community development professional, who believes that networks are the key to shaping our reality in the upcoming generation.

 

He is one of the founders and leaders of the Nettiot Mission-Driven Communities Network, reengaging Haredi ba'aley teshuva into Israeli society.

 

He is also founder of Garin Shuva, a Jewish eco-mission-driven-community on the Gaza border, and co-founder and Director of Partnerships for the National Council of Mission-Driven Communities.
