Miami is a place of immense cultural diversity amidst its perfect beaches, nightlife, and immaculate weather.  In addition to all of what it is famed for, Miami also offers abundant career opportunities in its cultural melting pot of a professional network.  Within this ever-growing and eclectic city lies a deeply established Jewish community, one with a myriad of career opportunities, business innovation, and professional skills development through its tight-knit Jewish professional network.  

 

This 4 day experience is specifically designed to provide University of Florida and University of Miami students an opportunity to immerse themselves in the innovative Miami community and gain the critical skills and connections that top employers are looking for. Participating in this experience will help you on your path to personal and career advancement, as well as connect you to our Jewish ecosystem for a competitive advantage moving forward.

THURSDAY

5:00pm: Meet @ Hotel in Miami Beach

6:30-9:00pm: Heavy hors d'oeuvres, networking, panel discussion and facilitated conversation with Career Up Now industry leaders

FRIDAY

9:45 am – 12:00 pm:  Tour of Cambridge Innovation Center Miami and meetings with leading entrepreneurs

  • Where: CIC Miami: 1951 NW 7th Ave Suite 600, Miami, FL 33136

  • Dress: Business Casual

12:30 pm – 2:00 pm:  Networking and lunch with Miami Jewish Federation’s “The Network”

  • Where: Miami Jewish Federation: 4200 Biscayne Blvd, Miami, FL 33137

  • Dress: Business Casual

2:00 pm – 5:00 pm: Free time in Miami

6:00 pm - late: Shabbat Services and dinner

  • Leave Hotel at 5:15 pm

  • Where: Temple Beth Shalom: 4144 Chase Ave, Miami Beach, FL 33140

Services 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm 

  • Dress: Business Casual

Dinner: 5 host families have volunteered to have us for Shabbat dinner. You will be introduced to hosts at services and you will join them in their homes for a Shabbat meal

Dinner: 7:30 - late
