WHAT IS CAREER UP NOW?
Career Up Now empowers Jewish emerging professionals to advance in their careers while incorporating Jewish values into their lives, through innovative networking and education opportunities with Jewish industry leaders.
Using the inherent spiritual value of a Jewish community and Judaism’s timeless wisdom to help empower young professionals to integrate and find relevance and meaning in their professional, personal, and spiritual lives.
Career Up Now does this through several programs: -Women of Wisdom - Wisdom on Campus - Wisdom Buffets -Wisdom Wednesday (online learning)
HOW IS CAREER UP NOW DIFFERENT FROM OTHER TYPES OF "NETWORKING"?
Career Up Now is unique in that it is the only organization offering real career advancement opportunities to Jewish emerging professionals, including college students, coupled with applied Jewish wisdom.
Similarly, Career Up Now is the only organization offering young Jewish women empowerment and career advancement opportunities through the lens of Jewish values.
Finally, Career Up Now is the only organization that creates intentional communities based on the intersection of career and Jewish wisdom, empowering young Jewish professionals and industry leaders to build the infrastructure for communities across the country whose members will lead Jewishly meaningful professional and personal lives, and strengthen Jewish society nationwide in the process.
WHERE CAN I FIND A CAREER UP NOW COMMUNITY?
Initially Career Up Now communities are located in the Los Angeles, San Francisco, Boston, and Atlanta areas, with more cities to come. However, Career Up Now offers online learning through Wisdom Wednesday an online weekly Jewish learning program.
DO I HAVE TO BE JEWISH?
Career Up Now welcomes the participation of individuals of all faiths and people of all abilities, backgrounds, gender identities, and sexual orientations. However, Career Up Now aims to recruit participants who desire an event with activities focused through a Jewish lens. Career Up Now assists its participants in building a network that can advise how one’s individual Jewish identity is able to fit within their work/life balance.
