FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is Career Up Now?
Career Up Now designs career advancement cohorts and experiences that are focused on the belief that the best ways to engage emerging professionals are through their interests in career advancement, unique experiences, and social good. Career Up Now develops micro-communities that provide personal and professional coaching, access to top industry leaders, experiences to network, opportunities for social good, and Jewish meaning.
How is Career Up Now different from other types of “networking”?
Career Up Now focuses on the true determinant to career success: building relationships. Career Up Now catalyzes personal and long-term relationships with professionals that can serve as mentors to offer both career and life advice.
But is Career Up Now only for business majors?
No! Career Up Now’s process for choosing mentors is iterative. Each event is tailored to meet the participants’ needs. Career Up Now is able to leverage its large network to bring professionals across a spectrum of industries to meet participants’ interests.
How much does it cost?
Only $10! Would you rather use $10 to grow your network and make deep connections with professionals in your intended industry, or use it to buy a 2nd burrito during your 2AM Amelia’s stop?
But is it a big time commitment?
No! The $10 fee covers a Thursday night networking event (yes, there will be food!) as well as two optional Friday events. The Friday events include meeting entrepreneurs in Cambridge as well as a Shabbat dinner at one of the mentor’s homes. The events are specifically tailored to fit within college students’ schedules!

Career Up Now assists its participants in building a network that can advise how one’s individual Jewish identity is able to fit within their work/life balance.
